Art where your mind can rest for a moment 🌿

Some days the world can feel like too much. These paintings are for those moments. A place for your eyes to rest, your thoughts to slow down, and your shoulders to drop just a little.

I’m Mari, a Norwegian artist and trained clinical psychologist.

My paintings explore how color, softness and atmosphere can create spaces where the mind can slow down and rest for a moment.

Free Flight

"Free Flight" is painted in soft summer blues, with butterflies and flower petals caught in mid-flight. It's painted to capture moments of lightness and freedom.

Northern Breeze

This piece is about the open feeling of standing by the water with the wind in your hair, smelling the salt from the ocean. It’s calm, simple, and meant to bring a breath of fresh air.

Let go

“Let Go” feels like a moment where someone has stopped holding everything together and just stands, looking out. The soft pastel landscape is gently saying it’s okay to relax and breathe.

Do you have a place where you feel completely safe and grounded?

For me it is a cabin in the mountains where I spent my childhood summers. Playing, exploring, completely present in the moment.

Most of us have a place like that somewhere.

Through this collection I have tried to bring that feeling onto canvas. The wonder and the mystery and the magic that we are so good at as children, and so quick to lose as we grow older.
