How do I frame my paper print?

Getting a print framed can feel surprisingly overwhelming. There are many options, and you want to get it right. Here's what I usually tell people who ask me.

The two paths

The easiest choice is a standard off-the-shelf frame from a home décor store. Most of my prints are made in standard European sizes: 50×70 cm and 70×100 cm. You can usually find something without hassle. Look for real glass or UV-protective acrylic to keep the colors from fading over time.

If you want something more special, a professional framer is worth the investment. They can help you choose the right mat, backing, and materials. For larger or limited-edition prints, this extra care really improves how the finished piece looks on your wall.

Frame color

I'm often asked about this. My honest answer is oak, walnut, or natural wood. These colors work with almost everything in my palette: the softness, the muted tones, the light. A thin natural wood frame tends to blend into the wall, allowing the painting to shine.
