Collection: Fall 24 - "Between You and Me"

The exhibition "Between You and Me" is a personal exploration of the complex nature of human relationships. I believe we’re all social beings who crave connection—for safety, love, and belonging. At the same time, we long for independence and the freedom to be ourselves. This push and pull—wanting closeness while protecting our sense of self—can lead to emotional struggles. Sometimes, we risk losing who we are in our search for connection. Other times, holding onto our independence leaves us feeling isolated.

In this exhibition, I’m sharing my own journey of finding balance between connection and authenticity. The abstract landscapes I’ve created are emotional reflections of the paths we all navigate—both alone and together. The title, “Between You and Me,” speaks to the personal connection I hope to create with each of you who views my work. I’m inviting you to see a part of my experience while reflecting on your own. Each of you will connect with the art in a way that’s unique to your own story.

For me, "Between You and Me" is about what it means to be human—finding the joy and facing the challenges of relating to others while staying true to yourself. Each painting is a chance to feel moments of nostalgia, closeness, solitude, longing, peace and more. I hope it’s a space where you can find a bit of your own story within mine.
