The word “hildring” in norwegian is is an old and poetic term, and it means some sort of illusion or optical deception in nature. It's often used in fairy tales and poetry to describe a phenomenon where you see something that isn’t really there, often on hot surfaces or in mountain areas. Something dreamlike and fleeting. Something that appears real but is actually fleeting, unreal, or hard to reach.

Floating Frame
Not included in the price. Please note in your order at checkout that you would like the frame, and I'll contact you to arrange this. Payment for the frame will be made by invoice.
Taxes and import fees
A 5% Norwegian art tax is included in the price. Please note that any additional import duties or local taxes are the responsibility of the buyer. I recommend checking the import regulations in your country before purchasing.
Private viewing
If you would like to see the artwork in person you're welcome to contact me, and we'll schedule a time for you to come by my studio in downtown Oslo. If you don't have the possibility to stop by we can also schedule a video call.
Shipping within Norway
This artwork can be shipped ready to hang on the wall, shipped in a roll, or picked up from my studio in downtown Oslo. Please proceed to checkout to view the different options.
International shipping
Standard international shipping of the painting in a roll is complimentary. This only applies to the unframed option. Each painting is carefully rolled and shipped without stretcher bars to ensure safe delivery. Once it arrives, you can easily have it restretched at your local frame workshop.
If you prefer to receive the painting stretched, framed, and ready to hang, please contact me. I’ll be happy to provide shipping options tailored to your location.
A note on colours
Please note that colors may appear slightly different in the photos. This variation reflects how tones shift in different environments and lighting conditions. Colors may also vary from screen to screen. For the most accurate view of the painting, turn your screen brightness all the way up and disable any blue light filters.
