"Solitude" explores the ambiguity of aloneness. Solitude can at times be a lonley feeling, feeling isolated and out of connection with others. On the other hand solitude can also be a deeply needed experience of introspection and connecting with oneself. The palette is dominated by muted tones, which together with the soft light create a sense of the calm and quiet that can be felt in solitude.
Size: 120x150 cm, 4 cm edges.
Medium: acrylic paint on primed cotton canvas.
Frame: Light oak, not included in the price. Can be added within Norway for an additional 3000 NOK.
Taxes: 5% Norwegian art tax is added at checkout. Please check whether any import fees could apply to your country.
Shipping in Norway: This artwork can be shipped ready to hang on the wall for 2000 NOK. Alternatively it can be shipped in a roll for 300 NOK, and restretched at your local frame workshop. Good to know
Floating Frame
I carefully hand make floating frames in my studio in Oslo. Frames come in oak or walnut.
If you choose to have your painting framed, you need to chose the shipping option to have your painting shipped in a box ready to hang on the wall.
Shipping within Norway
This artwork can be shipped ready to hang on the wall, shipped in a roll, or picked up from my studio in downtown Oslo. Please proceed to checkout to view the different options.
International shipping
Standard international shipping of the painting in a roll is free. This only applies to the unframed option. Each painting is carefully rolled and shipped without stretcher bars to ensure safe delivery. Once it arrives, you can easily have it restretched at your local frame workshop.
If you prefer to receive the painting stretched, framed, and ready to hang, your painting will be shipped in a wooden box with DHL. Please proceed to checkout to see the price for this option to your location.

Taxes and import fees
A 5% Norwegian artist fee will be added to the price at checkout. This fee goes towards supporting Norwegian artists and is collected in accordance with Norwegian cultural legislation.
Please note that any additional import duties or local taxes are the responsibility of the buyer. I recommend checking the import regulations in your country before purchasing.
Private viewing
If you would like to see the artwork in person you're welcome to contact me, and we'll schedule a time for you to come by my studio in downtown Oslo. If you don't have the possibility to stop by we can also schedule a video call.
A note on colours
I do my best to give you the best impression possible of the colors of the artwork. However due to changing light and different screens, it's hard to get it 100% accurate. Colors may also vary from screen to screen. For the most accurate view of the painting, turn your screen brightness all the way up and disable any blue light filters.
The artwork will also change in colors depending on which angle you view it from, and the light in the room. This is the beauty of owning an original.
